TIG Torches
Available130 products
TIG (tungsten inert gas) torches hold a tungsten electrode and connect to a compatible TIG welder to deliver current to the electrode. An arc is created between the electrode and the workpiece, and the heat from the arc melts the workpiece material to create the weld. A filler metal rod can be added to the weld pool to provide more material for the weld, if needed. The welding operator uses the torch to control the position of the electrode during welding. The torch also provides shielding gas that keeps contaminants out of the molten weld pool to help avoid pores, cracks, or excessive spatter in the weld. A complete TIG torch setup includes a nozzle, collet body or gas lens, collet, insulators, back cap, torch body, torch handle, and tungsten electrode.
