TIG Torch Kits
TIG (tungsten inert gas) torches each hold a tungsten electrode and connect to a compatible TIG welder to deliver current to the electrode. An arc is created between the electrode and the workpiece, and the heat from the arc melts the workpiece material to create the weld. The welding operator uses the torch to control the position of the electrode during welding. The torch also provides shielding gas that keeps contaminants out of the molten weld pool to help avoid pores, cracks, or excessive spatter in the weld. A complete TIG torch setup includes a nozzle, collet body or gas lens, collet, back cap, torch body, torch handle, and tungsten electrode. The TIG torch should have a maximum amperage rating that meets or exceeds the maximum amperage rating of the welder.
Air-Cooled TIG Torches
Air-cooled torches are cooled by ambient air and shielding gas during welding tasks. They do not require an external water source and water hoses, so they are typically easier to set up and maintain and better suited for outdoor use or mobile welding applications than water-cooled torches. They may become too hot to hold if used for long periods of time and are best suited for short, low-amperage welding applications.

Water-Cooled TIG Torches
Water-cooled TIG torches are cooled by water or coolant during welding tasks. They require water hoses and an external source of water or coolant, so they are ideal for stationary welding setups. They do not get too hot to hold when used for long, continuous welding tasks, and they can be used in high-amperage welding applications.
