Contact tips each transfer current to the electrode wire as the wire passes through a compatible MIG (metal inert gas) gun. Each tip installs into a MIG gun's nozzle and establishes a point of contact between the gun and the electrode wire. MIG gun contact tips must be replaced when they become worn.
