MIG Consumables
MIG (metal inert gas) consumables attach to a MIG gun and need to be replaced when they become worn or clogged from the heat and spatter of the welding process. Nozzles focus shielding gas on the weld pool to keep contaminants out of it during welding tasks. Contact tips transfer current to the electrode wire as the wire passes through the gun. Gas diffusers evenly disperse the shielding gas across the weld pool. Insulators help extend the life of nozzles and prevent unwanted contact with the electrically live diffuser. Liners guide electrode wire as it is fed through the gun cable to the gun nozzle. Conductor tubes provide a path for the electrode wire as it travels between the handle and nozzle on the MIG gun.
