Cordless Joist & Stud Right-Angle Drills

Available1 product
Cordless joist and stud right-angle drills are larger, more powerful versions of general purpose right-angle drills. They generate high torque for driving wide drill bits and hole-saw attachments to make large holes in applications such as running duct, pipe, and wiring through framing and flooring. Right-angle drills have a bit-holding chuck that is oriented 90° to the tool body, so they have a slim profile for accessing corners and working between joists and studs. They are commonly used for drilling in plumbing, electrical, and construction tasks. These drills run on batteries, so they are more portable than corded drills and allow use where a wired power source is unavailable. They use brand-specific batteries, which fit different tools of the same brand that have the same voltage and use the same battery series.

Milwaukee Cordless Joist & Stud Right-Angle Drills

Milwaukee Cordless Joist & Stud Right-Angle Drills
These cordless joist and stud right-angle drills are powered by Milwaukee batteries of a compatible series and matching voltage. Also called Hole Hawg drills, they fit between studs like general purpose right-angle drills, but have higher torque to make larger holes. Tools using lower-voltage batteries are generally lighter and more compact than tools using higher-voltage batteries. Tools using lower-capacity (Ah) batteries are less bulky but store less power than tools using higher-capacity batteries. Tool batteries can also power other tools of the same brand, battery series, and voltage.
