Joist & Stud Right-Angle Drills
Available20 products
Joist and stud right-angle drills are larger, more powerful versions of general purpose right-angle drills. They generate high torque for driving wide drill bits and hole-saw attachments to make large holes in applications such as running duct, pipe, and wire through framing and flooring. Their bit-holding chuck is oriented 90° to the tool body, so they have a slim profile for accessing corners and working between joists and studs. These tools have two handles to maintain control during high-torque drilling, and they are commonly held at waist level so users can lean into them to increase drilling force. Corded drills plug into an outlet to allow longer run times than cordless drills for applications where portability isn't a concern. Cordless drills run on batteries, so they are more portable than corded drills and allow use where a wired power source is unavailable.
