Box Parallels
Box parallels are square or rectangular cast iron frames that keep work parallel or raised at a level where it can be reached by cutting tools in machining applications. They are square and parallel to within a few ten thousandths of an inch for precise positioning. They have one or more webs (framed cells) that provide a ledge for applying clamps.
Machined
Machined are square and parallel to within 0.002" for every 6" of length for applications that don't require high precision.
