Press-Fit Inserts
Available98 products
Press-fit inserts, also known as push-fit inserts, insert into holes in softer materials and provide a female-threaded mounting point. They feature a slot along their length that contracts when inserted and then expands against the mounting hole when the male-threaded fastener is installed. This presses their textured sidewalls against the walls of the mounting hole, increasing their holding power.
Flush Press-Fit Inserts
Flush press-fit inserts install into pilot holes in a mounting surface and create a female-threaded mounting point. They feature relief grooves along their length and knurling on their outer surface. These grooves let the insert contract slightly during installation, allowing them to press-fit into place. Once installed, a male-threaded fastener is screwed into the insert, expanding it and causing the knurling to engage with the mounting surface and lock it into place.

Flanged Press-Fit Inserts
Flanged press-fit inserts install into holes in the mounting surface and provide a female-threaded mounting point. They feature relief grooves that contract during installation and an integrated flange that controls the insertion depth, ensuring their threads are positioned correctly.

Finned Press Fit-Inserts
Finned press-fit inserts, sometimes called finserts, install into holes in the mounting surface and provide a female-threaded mounting point. They feature relief grooves that contract during installation and fins that embed into the mounting surface, increasing their holding power. They are commonly used in soft materials to reduce the chance of damage or a pull-out.
