Machine Safety
Machine safety sensors and interlock switches shut off power to industrial machinery and systems to help prevent accidents and damage. Cable-pull switches are installed along machinery and quickly turn off power in an emergency. Door hinge safety-interlock switches disconnect power when the door is opened. Foot switches and foot-switch guards enable operators to control machinery with their feet. Locking gate boxes with safety switches stop machine operation when access points are open. Magnetically actuated safety-interlock switches detect the presence of magnets to flip power circuits. Non-contact transponder-coded safety switches react to the presence of their matching actuator to turn on or off. Electro-mechanically actuated safety-interlock switches respond to physical contact and flip circuits to stop power flow and prevent accidents. Safety light curtains are machine guards that don’t block machine access. Safety controllers and evaluation units monitor for unsafe conditions.
