Current Transducers
Available10 products
Current transducers and current monitoring relays observe the current levels of a motor, cable, or wire to protect equipment from damage. The measured value can identify if a motor or part is overloaded or underloaded. When these transducers detect an increase or decrease in the current, they alert the operator. Current monitoring relays can switch off the motor automatically when the current rises above or falls below a set point.
Current Transducers
Current transducers, or Current Transducer Devices (CTDs) monitor the load present in a cable or wire. They verify the input is operational and measure the current, identifying problems early with continual monitoring. They also protect the measuring device by providing an output in mA or VDC. Applications include drive fans, pump installations, and verifying status of heating coils.

Current Monitoring Relays
Current monitoring relays detect over or underload of a motor by continuously measuring the current it puts out. These relays observe changes in flow through pipes, change in load weight in hoisting equipment, or overload of components on a conveyor. In reaction to the change in voltage, these relays perform an action, like switching off the motor to prevent further damage to equipment.
