Industrial Automation
Industrial automation devices control equipment used to help facilities save energy and reduce costs. Lighting photocells switch an outdoor device, such as a light or alarm, on or off in response to sunrise and sunset. Meters and counters verify equipment health, count processes, or react to inputs and send a signal that continues a process. PLCs and HMIs control a process after receiving inputs or help users interact with inputs in the industrial automation field. Temperature controls and process heating prevent damage to temperature-sensitive machinery and products by monitoring and controlling their surrounding environment. Timer switches count up or down and switch devices on or off when the timer reaches the set point.
