Antispatter

Available21 products

Antispatter is applied to workpieces, table tops, tips, and nozzles to prevent welding slag from adhering to a surface and prevent tips and nozzles from clogging. Antispatter eliminates the need to use abrasives or chisels to remove hardened slag, leaving a smoother finished surface and cleaner weld lines.

Solvent-Based Antispatter

Solvent-Based Antispatter
Solvent-based antispatter protects surfaces better than water-based spatter. It leaves a greasy residue that requires solvents to clean. It also requires appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and can expose workers to methylene chloride, which requires exposure monitoring.

Water-Based Antispatter

Water-Based Antispatter
Water-based antispatter is more environmentally friendly than solvent-based antispatter and cleans up with water. It also eliminates the requirement for OSHA-mandated exposure monitoring for workers exposed to methylene chloride-based products.

Ceramic-Based Antispatter

Ceramic-Based Antispatter
Ceramic-based antispatter works up to eight hours before needing to be reapplied so it only needs to be applied once per shift. It's often used on nozzle tips to prevent spatter from clogging the nozzle, which can affect gas flow and reduce weld quality.

Nozzle Tip Dips

Nozzle Tip Dips
Nozzle-tip dips coat welding nozzles to prevent spatter from hardening and building up on nozzles, which affects weld quality and shortens equipment life span. Dips can be applied to hot or cold equipment and will not migrate to the liner, which can cause problems feeding wire to the weld.
