UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) plastic welding rods supply filler material for joining or repairing UHMWPE parts in plastic welding applications. A plastic welder or heat gun supplies heat to the welding joint on a plastic workpiece, and the heat melts and fuses material from the plastic rod and the workpiece to create a strong weld at the joint.
UHMWPE Welding Rods
UHMWPE welding rods create welds that resist abrasion, impact, chemicals, corrosion, low temperatures, and moisture. UHMWPE welds absorb minimal moisture and have a low coefficient of friction. They are commonly used for welding UHMWPE parts on chute liners, chain guides, skid plates, conveyor guides, and slides.
