Welding Wire

Available542 products

Welding wire is fed through a welding gun to provide filler metal for creating joints on metal parts in MIG (metal inert gas) welding tasks. MIG welding wire is a solid wire that requires external shielding gas to keep contaminants out of the weld pool during GMAW (gas metal arc welding) tasks. Flux-cored welding wire features a flux core that helps deoxidize the workpiece material, stabilize the welding arc, reduce spatter, increase the strength or ductility of the wire, and protect the weld pool from contaminants during FCAW (flux-core arc welding) tasks. Metal-cored welding wire has a powdered metal core and typically provides faster travel speeds and higher deposition rates than solid MIG wire. It requires external shielding gas to keep contaminants out of the weld pool in GMAW tasks.
