Nickel Alloy TIG Welding Rods
Available15 products
Nickel alloy TIG (tungsten inert gas) rods provide filler metal for welding nickel alloys and other compatible metals. Also known as TIG cut lengths, they are fed into the weld joint to add material for building up the weld. The heat from the GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) process melts material from the rod and the workpiece, and the molten material fuses to create the weld.
Nickel Alloy 82 TIG Welding Rods
Nickel alloy 82 TIG rods are used for welding nickel-chromium (NiCr) alloys with a UNS number N06600, such as ASTM B163, B166, B167 and B168, to themselves or to carbon steel or stainless steel. They are suitable for welding applications on equipment that will be exposed to extreme temperatures, such as cryogenic applications or high-temperature applications. They can also be used for overlay applications.

Nickel Alloy 625 TIG Welding Rods
Nickel Alloy 625 TIG rods are used for welding nickel-chromium-molybdenum (NiCrMo) alloys to carbon steel and stainless steel. They can also be used for cladding and spraying applications. These rods have low iron content, making them suitable for welding applications where dilution of iron must be minimized. They also have high molybdenum content and resist stress, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
