Magnesium TIG Welding Rods

Magnesium TIG (tungsten inert gas) rods provide filler metal for welding magnesium. Also known as TIG cut lengths, they are most commonly used to build up worn metal and repair broken lugs or casting defects such as pits and inclusions. The rods are fed into the weld joint to add material for building up the weld. The heat from the GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) process melts material from the rod and the workpiece, and the molten material fuses to create the weld.
ERAZ61A TIG Welding Rods
ERAZ61A TIG rods have a higher tensile and yield strength than ERAZ92A TIG rods. They are used for welding magnesium workpieces. Flux does not need to be applied to the workpiece prior to welding with these rods.

ERAZ92A TIG Welding Rods
ERAZ92A TIG rods are harder and less likely to elongate than ERAZ61A TIG rods. They are used for welding magnesium workpieces. Flux does not need to be applied to the workpiece prior to welding with these rods.
