Cast Iron TIG Welding Rods
Available9 products
Cast iron TIG (tungsten inert gas) rods provide filler metal for welding cast iron and other compatible metals. Also known as TIG cut lengths, they are fed into the weld joint to add material for building up the weld. The heat from the GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding) process melts material from the rod and the workpiece, and the molten material fuses to create the weld.
High-Nickel TIG Welding Rods
High-nickel TIG rods are used for welding cast iron to cast iron or cast iron to carbon steel or stainless steel. They contain approximately 99% nickel and create welds that are less hard and can be machined more easily than welds created by nickel/iron TIG rods.

Nickel/Iron TIG Welding Rods
Nickel/iron TIG rods are used for welding cast iron to cast iron or cast iron to carbon steel or stainless steel. They contain approximately 55% nickel and create welds that are harder than welds created by high-nickel TIG rods. The welds can only be machined with carbide-tipped tools.
