Cast Iron Stick Welding Electrodes
Available39 products
Cast iron stick electrodes provide filler metal for welding cast iron and other compatible metals in SMAW (shielded metal arc welding) tasks. These welding rods have a coating that releases shielding gas as it's heated, which helps keep contaminants out of the weld pool. This means the electrodes don't require an external source of shielding gas, so they can be used in windy outdoor areas.
High-Nickel Stick Welding Electrodes
High-nickel stick welding electrodes are used for welding cast iron to cast iron or cast iron to carbon steel or stainless steel. They contain approximately 99% nickel. These electrodes create welds that are less hard and can be machined more easily than welds created by nickel/iron stick welding electrodes or nickel-free stick welding electrodes.

Nickel/Iron Stick Welding Electrodes
Nickel/iron stick welding electrodes are used for welding cast iron to cast iron or cast iron to carbon steel or stainless steel. They contain approximately 55% nickel. These electrodes create welds that are harder than the welds created by high-nickel stick welding electrodes but less hard than the welds created by nickel-free stick welding electrodes. The deposits can only be machined with carbide-tipped tools.

Nickel-Free Stick Welding Electrodes
Nickel-free stick welding electrodes are used for welding cast iron to cast iron. They create welds that are harder than the welds created by high-nickel stick welding electrodes or nickel/iron stick welding electrodes. The deposits are not machinable but may be finished by grinding.
