Drum bung plug sockets are used to install and remove drum bungs (plugs) and can ease the turning of rusted and stuck drum bungs. The socket fits into the bung and is rotated using a hand drive tool such as a ratchet or breaker bar to tighten or loosen the bung. Drive tools have a square nub called the drive that fits into the same size drive end of the socket for secure attachment to the hand drive tool.
