Wide Belt Sanding Machines

Available4 products
Wide belt sanders drive an abrasive belt to abrade wood boards and strips, smoothing off rough spots and leveling them to a uniform thickness. They handle larger workpieces, meet tighter tolerances for production runs, and produce finer finishes than drum sanding machines. The abrasive belts are easier to install and won't unravel like the sandpaper wrap of drum sanders. This reduces downtime and speeds belt changes for processes that require multiple abrasive grits.

Wide Belt Sanding Machines
Wide belt sanding machines run their abrasive belt along rollers that also oscillate from side to side to smooth and plane boards without leaving sanding lines or tearing out the grain. Their conveyor belt feeds boards under the abrasive belt, and their platen performs a final smoothing that reduces or eliminates the need for additional sanding. The belt height is adjustable to accommodate the board thickness and set the depth of cut. Wide belt sanders are commonly used to remove sawing and milling marks, level veneer and thin stock, and sand cabinet face frames and doors.
