Their rollers guide and tension the belt to keep it from slipping off. Belt sanders require a two-hand hold to maintain control and apply consistent pressure for uniform sanding.

Milwaukee Cordless Belt Sanders
Milwaukee cordless belt sanders trim to a scribed line, shave the edges of boards, and remove material from flat surfaces such as doors and floorboards. Positioning them to go with the grain prevents gouging of wood surfaces. They also enable freehand beveling and shaping of curved surfaces when mounted as bench sanders. These cordless belt sanders run on Milwaukee batteries of a compatible platform and matching voltage. The batteries can also power other Milwaukee tools. Cordless sanders operate in areas without access to wired power and eliminate the tripping hazard of a cord.
