Cordless Oscillating Tools
Available34 products
Cordless oscillating tools move their blade or attachment from side to side in a small arc at high speed for precise cutting, scraping, sanding, and polishing. The greater the arc (oscillation angle), the more aggressive the action. Also known as oscillating multi-tools (OMT), they accept various blades for specific tasks and materials. The blades can be set at different points around the tool head to accommodate workpieces. Oscillating tools make plunge and flush cuts for jobs such as cutting installed trim, undercutting door jambs, and cutting openings in floors and walls for outlets and ducts. They can also scrape off excess material, remove grout and caulk, and perform detailed grinding and sanding. These tools run on batteries, so they are more portable than corded tools and allow use where access to a wired power source is unavailable. They use brand-specific batteries, which fit different tools from the same manufacturer. Battery voltage and series must be compatible with the tool.
Milwaukee Cordless Oscillating Tools
These oscillating tools are powered by Milwaukee batteries of a compatible series and matching voltage. The batteries can also power other Milwaukee tools. Tools using lower-voltage batteries are generally lighter and more compact but less powerful than tools using higher-voltage batteries. Tools using lower-capacity (Ah) batteries are less bulky but store less power than tools using higher-capacity batteries. Milwaukee oscillating tools have a universal mounting interface that provides a direct fit with blades that are oscillating interface system (OIS) compatible. It can also accept adapters for some non-OIS blades. Tools with a universal open back allow tool-free blade changes when used with Milwaukee OPEN-LOK blades.

DEWALT Cordless Oscillating Tools
These oscillating tools are powered by DEWALT batteries of a compatible series and matching voltage. The batteries can also power other DEWALT tools. Tools using lower-voltage batteries are generally lighter and more compact but less powerful than tools using higher-voltage batteries. Tools using lower-capacity (Ah) batteries are less bulky but store less power than tools using higher-capacity batteries. DEWALT oscillating tools have a Quick-Change mounting interface to accept DEWALT UNIVERSAL FITMENT blades for tool-free blade changes. The mount also accepts an adapter for blades that are oscillating interface system (OIS) compatible, but may not allow tool-free changes for these blades.

Dremel Cordless Oscillating Tools
These oscillating tools are powered by Dremel batteries of a compatible series and matching voltage. The batteries can also power other Dremel tools. Tools using lower-voltage batteries are generally lighter and more compact but less powerful than tools using higher-voltage batteries. Tools using lower-capacity (Ah) batteries are less bulky but store less power than tools using higher-capacity batteries. Dremel oscillating tools have a Quick-Fit mounting interface to accept Dremel blades and other blades that are oscillating interface system (OIS) compatible. The Quick-Fit mount speeds blade changes by allowing open-back blades to slide in when the clamping screw is loosened but not completely removed.
