Air-powered reciprocating-saw blades use a back-and-forth movement to cut straight and curved lines in thin sheet metal, such as that used in metal fabrication and autobody shops. Blades with higher teeth per inch (TPI) cut thinner stock and make finer cuts than blades with a lower TPI. Blades with a pointed tip can be used for making plunge cuts in sheet metal. These blades are designed specifically for use in air-powered (pneumatic) reciprocating saws and cannot be used with corded and cordless reciprocating saws.
