Gas-powered handheld concrete saws cut concrete and masonry when access to a wired power source is not available. Handheld concrete saws are used to make vertical cuts in walls and in demolition and rescue operations to cut through automobiles and infrastructure wreckage that contains a mix of concrete and metal. They have an internal-combustion engine to provide more consistent power and longer run times than battery-operated saws. Gas-powered handheld concrete saws create fumes and must be used outdoors in well-ventilated areas.

Cut & Break Saws
Cut and break saws (also called cut-n-break saws) have two blades to make parallel cuts in concrete to create a groove. Workers can proceed in stages to cut slots in thick material or cut window openings or recesses in concrete or brick walls. Gas-powered saws create fumes and are used outdoors in well-ventilated areas.
