Cold Saws

Available2 products
Cold saws make precise, clean cuts in metal and use coolant to keep the blade and workpiece cool, extending blade life and eliminating thermal expansion that can alter the grain or create oxidation. They use a toothed blade designed for cold saws and are often used for high-volume cutting applications in metal fabrication and machine shops. The workpiece is clamped to the base and the cutting head is lowered through the material to make straight and angled cuts. Lubricants are used to improve cutting accuracy and extend blade life. High-speed cold saws are used to cut steel, and other soft metals, as well as plastic and other nonmetal materials. Low-speed saws cut steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals.

Low Speed Cold Saws

Low Speed Cold Saws
Low-speed cold saws spin at up to 500 rpm and are used to cut steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. The blade and workpiece remain cool during the cut to extend blade life, ensure a clean cut, and prevent damage to the workpiece. Lubricants can be used to increase cooling, improve cut quality and accuracy, and extend blade life.

High Speed Cold Saws

High Speed Cold Saws
High-speed cold saws spin at 3000 to 4000 rpm and are used for cutting nonmetals, such as plastic, and aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. They use coolant to keep the blade and workpiece cool during the cut to extend blade life, ensure a clean cut, and prevent damage to the workpiece. Lubricants can be used to increase cooling, improve cut quality and accuracy, and extend blade life.
