Corded Hand Planers
Available11 products
Corded hand planers shave thin layers of material from wood boards to level them to a uniform thickness and smooth off rough spots. They perform smaller jobs and more detailed work than benchtop and stationary planers. Multiple blades on their rotating cutting drum evenly trim off material as the planer is moved along the workpiece. Their adjustable control sets the cutting depth. All but the largest planers make rabbet and step cuts and have a machined groove in the front shoe of the planer to create chamfers (angled profiles on workpiece edges). These handheld power planers are commonly used to shave the edges of doors that stick or won't close properly, pare down trim and floorboards to fit them into place, and level uneven spots on studs and joists.
Corded Hand Planers
These corded hand planers allow long run times for repetitive tasks, maintain full power during operation, and have no batteries to recharge. Flat planers have a straight base to create smooth, even surfaces. Curved planers have a rounded base to create arches and notches in timbers and beams.
