Drain cleaning sectional machines use segments of cable that store separately from the machine body instead of feeding from an onboard drum, making them more compact to fit into tight spaces and lighter for transport up and down stairs or onto roofs. They feed the cable segments through the machine and into drain lines, then rotate the cable to break through blockages. Sections of cable can be joined to get the desired length for short to long runs of pipe.
