Power guns and closet augers continually rotate drain cleaning cable to clear hair, sludge, residues, and other blockages from sink, tub, shower, urinal, and toilet drains. Also known as drain snakes, they clean shorter runs and smaller-diameter pipe than drum or sectional machines. They feed their flexible, kink-resistant cable into drain lines where it bends around curves and works through traps. The cable head pushes into and breaks up blockages to restore flow through the drain. The cable retracts into the gun drum or auger body for storage.
