Shear bolt wrenches are used with tension-control bolts to ensure the correct tension is applied during fastening. When the required tension is reached, the bolt end breaks off to prevent overtightening. Shear bolt wrenches are nonimpact tools so they operate more quietly than impact tools and transfer less vibration to reduce the risk of hand injuries and fatigue.
