Core drills create deep, large-diameter holes in concrete and masonry to run plumbing lines, HVAC ducts, electrical wires, telecom cables, and more in construction, utility, and infrastructure work. Also known as coring rigs, they rotate round, diamond-tipped bits at high power and high speed, grinding out material around the edge of a hole and leaving the core intact for removal. They drill in the vertical or horizontal position and are sometimes used to stitch drill overlapping core holes to make long slots and extra-large openings.
