Oil Gauging Tapes
Available15 products
Oil gauging tapes insert their measuring blade into storage tanks to check liquid levels. They accept a plumb bob, which attaches to the end of the blade and weighs it down to pull it into the tank. These hand gauging tapes are commonly used in refineries, chemical plants, fuel depots, and other liquid-storage facilities.
System of Measurement
Liquid Remaining (Innage) Gauging Tapes
Innage oil gauging tapes are graduated to take submersion readings that measure the actual depth of liquid remaining in a tank. They require lowering the blade from the top of the tank until the plumb bob touches the tank bottom or a reference plate in the tank. The blade is then retracted and read at the point where the tank contents wetted the blade. Innage tapes are commonly used to measure levels of gasoline, fuel oil, crude oil, and other petroleum products.

Plumb Bobs for Oil Gauging Tapes
Oil gauging plumb bobs add weight that pulls down the measuring blade to measure the liquid level in a storage tank. Their looped end connects to the blade, and their graduations assist with taking readings.
