Clay lumber crayons create markings using a clay-based formula that holds up well on treated, wet, or frozen wood. Their markings last longer and are more durable than other crayons.

These lumber crayons are designed to be used with Newnes-McGehee, Lucidyne, and Cypress grade mark readers. Their formulas are batch tested to ensure they meet the specifications for these readers and are designed to be smudge- and smear-resistant.
