Hazardous Location Pressure Transmitters

Available167 products

Hazardous location pressure transmitters, also called pressure transducers and pressure sensors, are rated for use on processes or in environments where there’s a risk of combustion or explosion. These transmitters are used in heavy-duty industrial and process applications in hazardous environments such as chemical and petrochemical processing, oil and gas production, oil fields, natural gas compression, green energy projects, water and wastewater treatment, and paper and wood pulp processing.

Explosion-Proof-Rated with Conduit Connection & Wire Leads

Explosion-Proof-Rated with Conduit Connection & Wire Leads

These pressure transmitters are rated as explosion-proof to C-UL standards and flameproof to ATEX standards in classified hazardous environments. They’re enclosed within a housing designed to contain an explosion of specific gases or vapors within the transmitter, preventing further ignition of combustible dust or gas in the environment. Transmitters with a 4-20mA output signal are also rated as intrinsically safe and non-incendive in classified hazardous environments to FM and CSA standards. These transmitters have a 1/2” NPT conduit connection with wire leads, also called bare wires or flying leads.

Explosion-Proof-Rated with Conduit Connection & Display

Explosion-Proof-Rated with Conduit Connection & Display

These indicating pressure transmitters have a 5-digit LCD and are rated as explosion-proof to ATEX and FM standards in classified hazardous environments. They are enclosed within a housing designed to contain an explosion of specific gases or vapors within the transmitter, preventing further ignition of combustible dust or gas in the environment. They have rangeable configuration for a broad range of pressures and programmable with HART communication protocol. They have a threaded process connection and 1/2” FNPT conduit electrical connections.

Intrinsically Safe-Rated with DIN 43650 Form A Connector

Intrinsically Safe-Rated with DIN 43650 Form A Connector

These intrinsically safe- and non-incendive-rated pressure transmitters are built for classified hazardous environments. They are designed with circuitry that is incapable of discharging electrical, mechanical, or thermal energy into the atmosphere sufficient to cause a fire or explosion of combustible gas or dust in the environments. They have a DIN 43650 Form A electrical termination. This connector type conforms to, and is also known as, DIN EN 175301-803, Form A.
