Color analyzers, or gloss meters, measure the reflection of a fixed beam of light off of a test surface in Gloss Units (GU), at a variety of angles. This test helps ensure consistency in manufacturing industries like stone, tile, paint, and ink. These meters are also used in automobile inspection.
