Arbitrary waveforms are custom signals that do not follow a specific mathematical pattern like sine, square, or triangle. These waveforms test and monitor the fluctuating behaviors of AC voltage levels. Applications include optical modulation and stress-testing wireless networks.
Pulse waveforms generate a repeated pulse with the same time interval to illustrate, test, and monitor the response of the electronic equipment under test. These waveforms are used to test and develop digital circuits.
