EPDM cord stock is often used for weatherstripping, padding, and liners. Neoprene rubber cord stock has good strength and resists water and mild oils, chemicals, and moderate weather conditions. Silicone rubber cord stock resists UV light, chemicals, mild oils, and water, and tolerates high and low temperatures. Viton rubber cord stock resists harsh chemicals, oils, high temperatures, and water.
