HIPS (high-impact polystyrene) formable sheets and bars, also known as PS (polystyrene) sheets and bars, are made of thermoplastic. They have high-impact strength, stiffness, and are recyclable with minimal loss of properties. They are often used for low-strength structural applications when impact resistance, machinability, and low cost are required. With excellent stability, they are easy to fabricate, and can be guillotine-cut, die-cut, and punched. They can also be painted and glued, making them suitable for machining pre-production prototypes. These sheets and bars are commonly used for POP displays, indoor signage, and to make other signs and displays.
