UHMW polyethylene films and rods, also known as UHMW-PE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) films and rods, have a continuous-use temperature range of up to 180° F (82° C). They keep their physical properties at temperatures as low as -22°F (-30°C). They have a durable surface that absorbs minimal levels of moisture, and are commonly used for food handling solutions, conveyance mechanisms and material handling, and packing solutions where wear resistance and durability are required.
