PTFE - Chemical-& Wear-Resistant Rods

Available51 products
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) rods are made with a soft fluoropolymer that remains stable at temperatures up to 500°F. These rods are a high molecular weight polymer with excellent electrical insulation properties. They are nontoxic and often used in the food industry. These rods offer high-bulk resistivity, which makes them ideal for fabricating the electrostatic analogues of magnets. They are commonly used for applications where a sliding action of parts is needed such as slide plates, gears, bearings, manifolds, and pump parts.

Glass-Filled PTFE Rods

Glass-Filled PTFE Rods
Glass-filled PTFE rods resist chemicals and have a slippery surface. With a glass filling, they’re stiff and rigid and do not swell in severe temperatures or damp environments. These durable rods are commonly used for applications under strain.
