Bronze rods and discs come in different material grades with distinct levels of strength and corrosion- and wear-resistance properties. Select grades also have self-lubricating properties to help them withstand extended periods of wear. Rods have round cross sections and are 6” or greater in length, while discs are less than 6” long.

General Purpose 932 Bronze Rods
Grade 932 bronze rods resist wear, impact, and corrosion. These rods withstand friction and are easy to machine, solder, and braze. They are often used for bushings, bearings, valves, and other moving parts and components. Grade 932 is also called SAE 660 bronze and bearing bronze.

Wear-Resistant 954 Bronze Rods
Grade 954 bronze rods contain aluminum and iron for added strength, machinability, and wear resistance properties. These corrosion-resistant rods can be welded or brazed and are often manufactured into wear strips and plates, valves, pumps, bearings, and machine tools. Grade 954 bronze is also known as aluminum bronze.
