Fiberglass sheets and plates are solid and flat with no surface texture. Plates have a thickness of ¼” (6mm) or more, while sheets are less than ¼” (6mm) thick. They are made with different resin types that resist chemicals, acidic environments, and the spread of flames.
Flame Resistant Fiberglass Sheets
Flame-resistant fiberglass sheets contain an isophthalic polyester resin that resists chemicals and the spread of flames. These sheets are often used for applications where there is moderate exposure to corrosive materials.
