Diaphragm chemical metering pumps are self-priming, can run dry without damaging internal components, and are sealless. They use a flexible diaphragm to draw in and transfer liquids through a system. Diaphragm chemical metering pumps are more energy efficient and less likely to leak during operation than peristaltic chemical metering pumps. They are the most effective pumps for injecting chemicals into pressurized lines.
Choosing the appropriate wetted component (e.g., diaphragm, seal, head) material may help reduce the risk of pump failure and can help decrease the time between maintenance and repair. Always refer to the manufacturer’s Chemical Compatibility guide for information.
