Male Spherical Rod Ends with Stud
Male spherical rod ends have a threaded ball stud that mounts to a moving part and an externally threaded shank. Also referred to as Heim joints and rod-end bearings, they provide a fixed point of contact between two components to allow rotational movement and to compensate for angular misalignment. Their externally threaded shank mounts to a female threaded component to connect parts such as a piston cylinder to a shaft. These rod ends are often used in suspension and steering systems.
General Purpose Spherical Rod Ends
These male spherical rod ends are suitable for general purpose applications where corrosion is not a concern. They are carbon steel and require regular lubrication.

Corrosion-Resistant Spherical Rod Ends
The stainless steel housing for these male spherical rod ends is resistant to corrosion. The PTFE-lined race provides a sliding surface for the studded bearing that reduces wear and requires no lubrication. These rod ends are suitable in applications that are exposed to contaminants such as marine environments and food processing facilities.

Wear-Resistant Spherical Rod Ends
These wear-resistant male spherical rod ends have an injection-molded nylon raceway that holds the studded bearing and is resistant to friction, wear, and moisture absorption. The carbon steel housing includes a corrosion-resistant coating. These rod ends are suitable for low load applications with moderate oscillation.
