Self-Piercing Saddle Valves
Self-piercing saddle valves mount onto and tap into existing lines without a pilot hole. Turning the saddle valve's handle pierces the wall of a pipe and enters the flow path.

Drill-Type Saddle Valves
Drill-type saddle valves require a pilot hole before mounting and installing into an existing line. They're used on plastic, iron, or other pipe material types where self-piercing saddle valves cannot be used.
