Air push-to-connect tube fittings are suitable for use with compressed air, vacuum, and inert gases. These fittings, also called push-fit, connect tubing without the use of special tools, glue, or soldering. Tubing is pushed into the fitting and held in place by a grab ring which disconnects the tubing for frequent changes.
Polybutylene and brass push-to-connect tube fittings are compatible with a variety of tubing materials and suitable for most air applications. Polybutylene is a thermoplastic polymer with temperature resistance, flexibility, and high hydrostatic pressure resistance. Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, is strong and resists corrosion from water, heat, acids, minerals, and peaty soils.
