Barbed tube fittings, also called hose barb or hose barbed connectors, include ridges on the exterior surface that grip the inside of tubing for a tight seal without glues or bonding agents. Hose clamps provide additional holding power. Barbed fittings are available in acetal, brass, nylon, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, PVDF, stainless steel, and aluminum for a variety of applications including plastic, rubber, and PEX tubing.
