Polyethylene barbed tube fittings are chemical-resistant and suitable for use in chemical plant, food processing, and water applications. Polyethylene (PE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) are polymers and the most common plastics in use today. PE and HDPE tube fittings offer excellent chemical resistance, resist gentle oxidants and reducing agents, and provide high impact resistance at very low temperatures. These barbed fittings include ridges on the exterior surface that grip inside the tubing for a tight seal without glues or bonding agents. Hose clamps provide additional holding power.
