Plastic to Metal Transition Fittings

Available70 products
Plastic-to-metal transition fittings help with switching between plastic and metal piping when connecting heat exchangers, flow meters, and other metal-ended, male-threaded instruments. These transition fittings are also used when expanding old metal systems with plastic, or installing new plastic systems where metal is required for part of the installation. Plastic fittings with metal threads allow the transition to a brass or bronze pipe or fittings. Metal fittings with metal threads allow the transition to brass, copper, or stainless steel pipe or fittings. Fittings with stainless steel collars have a reinforcement on the female threads to prevent the threads from cracking under pressure.

Schedule 40 CPVC Insert Transition Fittings

Schedule 40 CPVC Insert Transition Fittings

Insert transition fittings minimize any stress problems found with metal-to-plastic piping system transitions. The CPVC and brass or stainless steel ends compensate for the expansion and contraction variations between materials. Schedule 40 CPVC has thicker walls than Schedule 10, but not as thick as Schedule 80.

Schedule SDR 11 CPVC Insert Transition Fittings

Schedule SDR 11 CPVC Insert Transition Fittings

Insert transition fittings minimize any stress problems found with metal-to-plastic piping system transitions. The CPVC and brass or stainless steel ends compensate for the expansion and contraction variations between materials. Schedule SDR-11 means the outside diameter (D) is 11 times the thickness (S).
