Aluminum, known for its corrosion resistance, is lighter than steel or copper. Most aluminum-to-aluminum pipe threads bind together quickly and permanently. Aluminum pipe and nipples connect with pipe fittings, creating a secure, leak-free pipe system for indoor and outdoor applications including plumbing, racks and railings, and compressed air systems. Aluminum is available in pipe lengths longer than 12" and nipple lengths 12" and shorter.
Schedule 40 Unthreaded Pipe
Schedule 40 pipe has thicker walls than Schedule 10, but not as thick as Schedule 80 pipe. Unthreaded pipe includes plain ends without threads. Low-pressure (100-299 psi) pipe and nipples connect with fittings.
