Zinc/aluminum cam and groove fittings consist of a grooved male nipple (adapter) x female cam (coupler or camlock) that tighten together to form a seal. Zinc/aluminum cam and groove couplings combine stronger, harder zinc with lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum for better wear resistance with water, hydraulic oil, and petroleum products.
Type A Zinc/Aluminum Cam & Groove Fittings
Type A zinc/aluminum cam and groove fittings include a male nipple (adapter) x female NPT. Type A camlock fittings are most often used with Type D adapters of the same size, and can also be used with Type B, C, and D adapters, and Type D dust caps. Type A zinc/aluminum camlock couplings are used with fluids in water treatment, hydraulic oil production, and food and beverage processing.
